Good work starts with good people.

Before Brandbeet, I was running design for a large consumer goods company. I’m an industrial designer by trade, and I wanted to build an independent design team that did exceptional work for good people.

There wasn’t a complicated plan behind it. I believed that when talented people have the trust, support and space to do their best work, clients feel the difference.

At the beginning, it was just me. Then a handful of talented designers joined. They’re still here today. Some have been with Brandbeet for more than seven years, and that continuity is one of the things I’m proudest of.

The people you meet are the people thinking through the problem, making the work and taking responsibility for the outcome. We work closely together, share the responsibility and bring good judgement to the details.

That continuity makes a real difference. Clients get to know the team behind their work, and the team gets to understand the business well enough to make better decisions. Some of those relationships have lasted ten years.

For me, integrity means something straightforward: if we say we’re going to do something, we do it. Sometimes that takes more work than we expected. Sometimes it costs us. Keeping our word matters enough to see it through.

We’re building an independent, profitable business. We don’t have investors, and we don’t want them. That gives us the freedom to make decisions for the people doing the work and the clients trusting us with it. We can choose a pace and direction we believe in.

That’s the kind of business we are building: one where good people stay, relationships deepen and the work keeps improving—for the clients who trust us with it.
